About Joe Fischer
Joe Fischer is a both a photographer and an instructor who teaches in some of the world’s top photography locations. He’s now traveled to 20 countries building a unique experience in oceans, jungles and landscapes. His expertise centers on birds and nature as he is an outdoor enthusiast at heart.
Joe welcomes all participants, united by a shared passion for photography. He helps professionals improve while giving beginners the support they need to progress quickly.


Recently, Joe adopted drone photography as means for capturing exciting landscape and scenic images. Not just cinematic videos, but panoramic and still images taken from unique vantage points. In fact, he believes drone photography has him starting his photo career all over! Stunning vistas, mountain peaks, and dense jungles only accessible by a drone has opened up a whole new world for him.
Teaching is Joe’s other passion. On occasion, he leads specialized tours that provide a fantastic opportunity for those wanting to learn in the outdoors. He mainly focuses on landscapes, wildlife, and night photography. For nearly 10 years he’s led sold out trips to the Sierra through the Viewpoint Gallery in Sacramento.


Underwater Photography
Joe also uses his talents to capture stunning underwater life in color. After working his way up to NAUI Assistant Instructor, Joe got certified as PADI Underwater Photography Instructor. With extensive experience in teaching, he excels in underwater video and photography and believes his background helps people feel comfortable with cameras in the water.
